About Me

About Me

I grew up on a hobby farm near Lonsdale with my parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and all kinds of animals! I graduated from Montgomery-Lonsdale High School (now Tri-City United) and attended the University of Minnesota. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology and a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education. I am licensed to teach early childhood, pre-k, and parent education. I spent much of my teaching career with New Prague Area Schools Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) programs. I was a stay-at-home mom while my children were young and was happy to gradually return to teaching as they grew.

I live with my husband and two teenagers near Cedar Lake just northeast of New Prague. I attended ECFE classes with my children since they were babies and both of my children went to our district preschools too! We spend a lot of time boating and fishing in the summer. We are also big Minnesota Twins fans and attend many games! I enjoy gardening, reading, paddle boarding, golfing and going for walks.

This year, I teach two sections of preschool and several ECFE classes. I look forward to getting to know the childrens' unique personalities. I’m passionate about teaching young children and enjoy time spent with preschoolers. We have a great year planned and anxiously await watching the children learn and grow, make friends and have fun at school.
