Traverse Des Sioux Chapter of the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers

High school seniors who are graduating in 2018 and have a genuine interest in engineering are eligible to apply for this scholarship.  Copies of application form are available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline is March 23, 2019.

Dr. Michael and Mrs. Kay Wilcox Education Fund

Dr. Michael and Mrs. Kay Wilcox have established an education fund to assist students in an approved health care related course of study. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for study at an accredited college or vocational school of the student′s choice.
This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Steele-Waseca Cooperative Electric Scholarship

2018 graduating high school seniors who live in households served by Steele-Waseca Cooperative Electric (SWCE) may be eligible for a $500 scholarship. To meet our scholarship requirements student must meet the following criteria: 1) the applicant must be a dependent of a Steele-Waseca member, and 2) the applicant must be a 2018 graduating high school senior, who will be continuing his/her education full-time at a two- or four-year technical school or college.  Application materials are available in the Guidance Office  Deadline is April 6, 2018.

Masonic Lodge Scholarship

Minnesota River Valley Masonic Lodge No. 6 is offering a scholarship opportunity for area  graduating seniors.  Requirements and applications can be found in the Guidance Office or on Naviance/Scholarships.  Completed applications must be returned before May 1, 2018.

New Prague Utilities Commission Scholarship

High School seniors eligible to apply if they have a legal guardian who is an electric customer of New Prague Utilities Commission (NPUC).  Relatives of NPUCU are not eligible to apply.  More info and application can be found at  Applications are due before March 21, 2018.

SFM Foundation Scholarship

The SFM Foundation provides scholarships to students whose parents were killed or seriously injured in workplace accidents while working for Minnesota, Iowa or Wisconsin employers.  More information and application can be found at  Applications are due before March 31, 2018.

The Beauty + Wellness Scholarship for Women

Scholarship are awarded quarterly to young women who are striving to maintain their health and wellness as they pursue their higher education goals.

Here is a brief summary of the eligibility requirements:
• Award: $1,000
• Quarterly Deadlines: January 1, March 31st, June 30th, and September 30th every year
• Eligibility:
+ Must be a graduating high school senior, current college undergraduate, or current graduate student at a 4-year, 2-year, vocational, or technical school in the United States.
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
+ Must identify as female.
+ We welcome all majors and GPAs to apply!


MVEC Scholarship Program 

Applicants must be a graduating high school senior whose parents or legal guardians are MVEC members.
Students attending public, private, parochial or home school are eligible to apply.
Scholarships are randomly selected, evenly per MVEC district.
The 2018 deadline to apply is Monday, Feb. 19.

Basin Scholarship

Basin Power Electric Cooperative, one of MVEC’s wholesale power providers, also awards a $1,000 scholarship to an MVEC member-student. This scholarship recognizes academic and community achievements and includes an essay question and teacher/counselor recommendation. Parentinn's Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship

In an effort to the cause of preventing cyberbullying, we have created the “Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship” for High School students.

Award: $1250 for High School students.

Mensa Education and Research College Scholarship

Mensa Education and Research Foundation college scholarship program is now accepting applications for this year’s competition.

Applicants do not have to be Mensa members. They must be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning during the 2018 academic year and they must submit an application and essay explaining their career, academic and/or vocational goals.

Minnesota Mensa, which includes parts of western Wisconsin, will be offering a $500 scholarship to one applicant and there are additional scholarships available at the regional and national level, as well as for those meeting particular criteria (field of study, returning students, etc.).

Scott/LeSueur County Corn and Soybean Growers 2018 Phil Meyer Memorial Scholarship Program

Student must be planning to attending an agricultural program at two-year or four year college majoring in an Ag related field.

Scholarship will be awarded on the following criteria:

  • Student must reside in Scott or LeSueur County
  • Family must be a Scott or LeSueur County Corn or Soybean Growers member
  • Student activities in high school and community
  • Student academics

Minnesota Women's Golf Association

 The MWGA Foundation (Minnesota Women’s Golf Association) is pleased to announce the Minnesota Women’s Golf Association Foundation Scholarship Program. The scholarship program is available to high school senior girls who intend to enroll in college this year. The MWGA Foundation provides opportunities (scholarships) for youth, high school, and college girls involved or interested in golf and promote education by providing financial assistance (grants) to youth, high school, and college golf programs.The foundation will provide awards up to $3,000 per year to winning female candidates.  Application are available in the Guidance Office.  Deadline is March 31, 2018.
