Announcements: Wednesday, October 18, 2017

Next week we will be reading a historical fiction piece entitled Coyote School News, and we will be working on the skills of drawing conclusions and understanding the setting of a story and how it affects the plot.  We will also work on the grammar skill of recognizing and writing regular plural nouns correctly. The spelling pretest will be Monday and the final test will be on Friday. The spelling worksheet and sentences will be due on Friday as well. The new spelling list has been posted on the homework link to the left, and a paper copy will be sent home on Monday. We will also continue working on our descriptive essays which will most likely be due on Friday.

In math we will begin our third unit on fractions and decimals.

We will continue our study of the land, economy, and history of the northeast region of the United States in social studies.

I hope you all enjoy the long weekend!
