Announcements:Friday, Dec. 15, 2017

During this short and exciting week before the break, we will be doing a short novel unit with the book The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. We will also write persuasive letters to Santa. There will be no spelling list this week. In math we have started unit 5 which deals with adding and subtracting fractions.

On Tuesday we will get a visit from the MN Zoomobile and on Wednesday some choir members from the high school will coming to lead us in a holiday sing along.

We will continue our study of holidays around the world with each fourth grade teacher helping us learn about a different country and their traditions. It should be a fun week!

 Important News and Announcements

Please check the lost and found: There are TONS of items in our lost and found by the office. During the holiday break all items will be donated.

Student Council Food Drive: The Food Shelf Drive began on Wednesday, December 13 and runs through Wednesday, December 20.  All non-perishable items collected will be delivered to the New Prague Food Shelf located at the Peace Center.  Items collected will be placed in a box in our classroom until the 20th and will then be delivered to the Peace Center.

Class Holiday Party: Our holiday party will be on Thursday, December 21, in the afternoon. We will do an optional class gift exchange as part of our party. If your child would like to participate, they may bring a wrapped $3-5 gift for a classmate (girls bring a gift appropriate for a girl, boys for boys). It should be labeled To: Boy/Girl, From (name), and they may bring these in to put under our tree any time in the next two weeks. Students may bring board games to play on this day as well as a treat for themselves and a beverage of their choice as long as it has a screw on top to help avoid spills. Any questions, let me know!

THANK YOU: to our awesome holiday sharing shopper, Angela Deutsch! With the money our class raised, she was able to purchase two pairs of pants, two shirts, snowpants, and game for a six year old girl.
