Last week, the Minnesota Department of Education released the Multiple Measurement Ratings (MMR), an intricate rating system that attempts to identify school’s progress in reading and math. Every school in the state receives a MMR score calculated by overall proficiency, growth, achievement gap reduction in poverty/color, and graduation rates.
2016 Multiple Measurement Ratings (MMR) are part of Minnesota’s No Child Left Behind Flexibility waiver.
New Prague Middle School (NPMS) received a MMR of 88.76%. This scored ranked NPMS as the 3rd highest middle school in the state. Last year, NPMS was ranked 5th of all middle schools in the state.
The MMR scores for New Prague Area Schools were as follows:
Tim Dittberner, Superintendent of New Prague Area Public Schools, said, “Credit is due to the students who take pride in their learning, a caring and talented staff and supportive families. Everyone’s hard work and dedication to learning is greatly appreciated.”
