Welcome to the 2017-18 school year at New Prague High School. This will be my twelth year at New Prague High School as I served seven years in the role of assistant principal before moving into the principal position. Prior to coming to New Prague, I was an activities director/dean of students, and an elementary teacher.

The mission of New Prague High School is to engage and support all students in high levels of learning. This is through a comprehensive curriculum offering courses in a wide variety of areas such as: art, automotive, business education and technology, career exploration, family and consumer science, industrial technology, language arts, math, physical education and health, science, social studies,  and world languages (German and Spanish). We also offer a variety of classes providing college credit for our students and Career and Technical Education opportunities.

I encourage all students to consider participating in one of the many athletic, fine arts, or academic activities or clubs we offer at the high school. There are more than 40 activities/clubs for students to choose from that provide an opportunity to be involved with others in a group setting. Research has shown that students involved in extra-curricular activities are more likely to be successful in other areas of their school lives.

The 2017-18 school year will be the second year of our HealthCare and Sports Science class, which was highly successful last year.  We have also added courses in College In the Schools (CIS) Physics and College In the Schools (CIS) College Algebra from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me to address them. We look forward to providing our students with a variety of educational opportunities and preparing them for whatever plans they have following high school. and positive school year in 2017-18
