My name is Kathryn Krech and this
is my fourteenth year teaching art in New Prague. I have a wonderful husband
and a 5 1/2 year old son Kassen and a 2 1/2 son named Torrin. I have a master’s degree in Educational
Leadership from Concordia University and a bachelor’s degree in K-12
Visual Arts Education from Minnesota State University. My personal
artistic passions revolve around ceramic sculpture, mosaics, painting and many other areas of art. I love the arts and helping students find their inner
artist and stretching their creative problem solving abilities. I
also feel blessed to work in a community with such wonderful students,
families, and staff.
My artistic goals for Raven Stream students are to achieve success and
appreciate the visual arts while applying the creative process to become
more inventive problem solvers. I am driven to involve students in all
parts of art education including art history, criticism, production and
aesthetics. I also believe it is important for all students and educators a
like to be positive and productive team players who show enthusiasm for the
learning process.
