GRADES and MISSING WORK As the weather gets warmer, it is harder and harder to get students to do what is expected of them.  Overall there should be limited amounts of homework and so please stress to your son or daughter the importance of staying focused the last month of school.   All late and missing work will need to be turned in my May 16th.  This will also be the cut off for SQUIRT pages too.
MAY 14th- Mrs. Ilkka's and Mrs. Wiener's class will be having a fun celebration at Foundry Park on Monday, May 14th for those students who have earned it.  In order to participate in the park experience, students need to have all missing work turned in and be at 1,700 pages or more in SQUIRT.  The purpose of the field trip is to celebrate all the students who have worked hard and stayed focus and organized throughout the school year.  Students will need a bag lunch on this day.

Classroom Events at a Glance

Math:   We are wrapping up the last of our standards this week with a coordinate grid activity and learning about the correct order of operations in solving algebraic problems.

Spelling:  We are done with spelling for the year.

Social Studies: This week students will be introduced to the events that led up to the American Revolution.  Students will be introduced to key players of the battles of our country's independence.  Ask your son or daughter what the "domino effect" is and who fought in the French and Indian War.
