2019-20 Late Start: FAQ Sheet for NPAS Families

Why is the New Prague Area School District implementing scheduled late starts?

The additional non-student contact time will allow teachers to engage in ongoing collaborative work with their departments, teams, and building/district leadership to guide and improve instruction. Our Professional Learning Communities will use the time to answer the four critical questions of learning:

  • What do we want students to learn?
  • How will we know if they have learned?
  • What will we do if they don’t learn?
  • What will we do if they already know it?
