21th Annual Dozinky Variety Show -

Tickets are no longer available online, you may purchase them Saturday, September 21st at Artist Alley (Next to the Back and Neck Clinic) from 1-4pm and at the HS prior to the show.

The annual Dozinky Variety Show is taking a one year hiatus and has been replaced by a showing of the New Prague area based documentary, "Singin' in the Grain". This movie showcases the Czech heritage of the area over a 40 year period of time. Join us for creator and producer, Al Milgrom's award winning show. In addition to the feature film, we will be showing student talent with NPAS High School student commercials. It will be a fun night that you won't want to miss. Bring your friends, neighbors and relatives!

This is the Arts Council’s main fundraising event. The Arts Council uses these funds to pay for their other events and as matching funds for arts grants.  The New Prague Arts Council is pleased to announce that this year's sponsor is Brusseau Investments. Their sponsorship is very much appreciated and helps defray the cost of the hosting the event so that all funds raised can go directly to supporting community arts.

"Singin' in the Grain" will be held on Saturday, September 21st at 7 pm.  Reserved seating tickets will go on sale beginning August 12; at that time you may reserve your tickets by clicking on this link or by stopping at the Community Education office or the New Prague Chamber of Commerce.

Artist’s Alley at Dozinky®

This began as a hands-on art experience for children and has grown into an event for all ages.  Join us from 1-4pm on Saturday, September 21st (immediately following the parade) at the annual Dozinky festival. We are located on Main Street next to Tupy's Neck and Back Clinic.  This free event is hosted by the New Prague Arts Council with the help of local artists.  Festival goers are invited to come, see, and experience the joy of creative art! Interested in assisting with this year's event? We are looking for artists and face painters. Call 952-758-1733.

Annual Student Art Show

Each spring, the Arts Council supports local art teachers in preparing and displaying student art work at the New Prague Library. The show is divided into two evenings – Elementary (PreK-Grade 5) and Secondary (Grades 6-12). We invite you to come out and see the amazing pieces our students create.

The 2019 Art Show is going on now.

Ides of March Dance with Little Chicago

New this year! The Ides of March Dance replaced the Black Friday Dance which began in 2014 as a fundraiser to promote the arts in the New Prague area. This event was held at the Park Ballroom and was sponsored by Wells Fargo Investors, the New Prague Arts Council and New Prague Area Community Education. The purpose of this event is to provide a family-friendly, high quality, inexpensive activity to welcome spring back to Minnesota. Fun, toe-tapping, dance worthy music was played by the “Little Chicago” band. Food and beverages were available for purchase and some amazing raffle items were available for dance goers to take a chance on with their $1 raffle tickets. Money raised at this event goes to support the annual Student Art Show, Artists Alley, and other activities sponsored by the Arts Council. Watch for this event again next year!
