Advanced Placement (AP)
Minnesota Department of Education's site regarding Advanced Placement Click here. The College Board program allows you to accelerate your education by skipping introductory college-level courses in subjects you have already mastered. You can earn college credit by achieving a qualifying score on any of 34 exams. The time and money saved can be used toward early college completion or to pursue a second major or advanced degree. The computer-based tests are offered at various locations. The nearest is at Hennepin Technical College (you do not need to be planning to attend HTC). Not all colleges and universities accept CLEP exams. Ask your School Counselor for help.
