Dear New Prague Area Schools Families:

As we prepare to wrap up this current school year, we will be providing families with an opportunity to pick up their
child’s items from their respective schools.

ELEMENTARY PROCESS

Families will drive to their respective school on the selected date/time and stay in their cars while student items
are brought to their car in a bag.

SECONDARY PROCESS

Students will obtain items by coming to their school on the selected date/time and following the recommendations
below: (We ask that parents please stay in your vehicle.)

PROTECTIVE HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SECONDARY STUDENTS OBTAINING ITEMS

  • 10 Students in the building at a time (no parents)
  • Students in line outside need to remain at least 6 feet apart
  • Use hand sanitizer in and out of the building

Please evaluate your child’s health prior to entering school grounds. If your child is not feeling well, call the school
to arrange another time to pick-up their belongings. If your child is experiencing a new or worsening cough,
shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell, contact your
family doctor for guidance.

PROTECTIVE HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS AT ALL BUILDINGS DURING ITEM PICK-UP

  • Minimal staff present to guide students and enforce social distancing procedures
  • Staff wear cloth face coverings
  • Custodial staff present throughout the process to clean frequently touched surfaces

DEVICE COLLECTION

  • May 29th: Seniors must return their Chromebook, case, and charger in order to receive their cap/gown.
  • Unenrolled students who are leaving NPAS must return all district-issued devices at the time of withdrawal.
  • Students in grades K-11 will keep and care for any district-issued technology over the summer months.
  • The NPAS Technology Help Desk will be available over the summer months for support and repairs.

MEDICATION RETRIEVAL

Grades K-5: Medications / supplies that were in the health office will be sent home with your child's belongings.
Grades 6-12: Medications / supplies that were left in the health office will be available in the main office.
