Title One Program

New Prague Area Schools Title One

Title I is a federally funded program that supports learners in meeting the State's academic standards.  The goal of the Title I program is to help students meet Minnesota's challenging academic standards.  Title I funds are used to provide services for students identified as needing assistance in meeting grade level expectations.  Title I supplements the district's regular educational programming. 

How students are identified for Title one?

Although funding for Title I is related to the number of students who receive free or reduced price meals, participation has nothing to do with economic status. Students are selected to receive Title I services based on a number of factors, including performance on standardized tests, classroom assessments, and teacher recommendation.
