Hello Kindergarteners! I cannot wait to meet you and your family this coming fall! It will be a blast getting to know you throughout the year! Kindergarten is such an exciting place. We learn so much and have as much fun as possible while doing so! I teach a hands on approach to keep what we are learning fun and engaging for all students. I enjoy learning as much as I can about each and every one of you, so I am able to meet your needs as a life long learner! I will see you soon!

Parents, let me tell you a little about myself! I grew up in small town North West of New Prague where I enjoyed being active in sports, National Honor Society, Girl Scouts, concert band, pep band, and jazz band. I graduated from Bemidji State University with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a specialty in Mathematics in 2011. I then attended St. Mary's University in 2015, with my husband, to obtain our Mater's of Arts in Education degree, and graduated in the spring of 2017.

My husband and I met while attending Bemidji State University, and got married in 2014. We have a daughter named Frances (Frankie) who was born in February of 2018, and have enjoyed every second of being parents! My husband and I enjoy going camping with our daughter and family. We also enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible when the weather cooperates. Frankie loves spending time at her grandparents hobby farm and taking daily walks with our dog, Mya.

I taught preschool for one year and second grade for 3 years before coming to New Prague Area Schools. This will be my 5th year teaching kindergarten at Falcon Ridge Elementary.

We learn a lot about the growth mindset in my classroom. If you would like to learn more about this, please check out my page on growth mindset!
