A Message From The Superintendent
Dear New Prague Area Schools Families,
As we prepare to launch the 2025–26 school year, I warmly welcome all families—especially those joining New Prague Area Schools for the first time. I’m confident you will find our schools to be welcoming, supportive, and committed to high expectations for every student.
In NPAS, we take great pride in our long-standing tradition of excellence—grounded in strong community values, high academic standards, and a shared commitment to doing what is right, committing to excellence, and showing people that we care. This tradition didn’t happen by chance—it was built over generations through the dedication of students, families, staff, and community members working together.
Last year, we built on that foundation with strong student learning in our classrooms and success across the arts, activities, and athletics. Our recent family survey reflects this, with 90% of families reporting satisfaction with their child’s academic growth and 87% believing their school offers a high-quality education.
Looking ahead, our focus remains on ensuring every student benefits from a supportive, challenging, and opportunity-rich learning environment. At the same time, we continue to face financial challenges, as many school districts across Minnesota do. To address this, we will once again be asking voters to consider an operating referendum this fall. If approved, these funds will help maintain existing programs, including student-to-teacher ratios, transportation services, and academic offerings at all levels. More details about our Proud Tradition and Promising Future Operating Referendum Campaign will be shared in the coming weeks—we encourage everyone to stay informed and help spread the word about this important effort.
Education is most effective when families and schools work in partnership. Whether your child is starting kindergarten or entering their final year, your voice and involvement matter. Together, we can preserve and strengthen the New Prague Area Schools tradition—not just for today’s students, but for those to come.
Thank you for your continued trust and enthusiastic support. Let’s make it a great year—Go Trojans!
Sincerely,
Dr. Andrew Vollmuth
