DISTRICT NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
MINNESOTA PAID LEAVE LAW
Minnesota Paid Leave was enacted in 2023 and begins Jan. 1, 2026. • The law provides job protections and payments from the state to individuals who need time off to care for themselves or their loved ones. • Minnesota Paid Leave will be funded by premiums made up of contributions from employees and employers. • Paid Leave will send benefit payments directly to Minnesotans on leave.
Posters have been hung in each of the schools lounges and workrooms for your viewing. A personal email will be sent this Friday, November 21st to all District 721 staff members. Please read the information and respond to the link provided. It is necessary for each employee to respond that they have read the information provided. Can’t find your insurance cards?
Medica -
- Register or log into the my Medica member portal
- Go to Tools & Resources
- Click on “view ID card” (if on the mobile app, add ID card to your wallet).
Members can also present digital ID cards - the digital rendering includes all information normally present on their physical cards, including payer ID, pharmacy details and contact information. Access your digital ID card securely on your member account on the Medica website.
My Health Rewards - Passphrase change
Due to security issues, Medica’s My Health Rewards portals, including the Personify Health tool needed to change the passphrase when you first enroll. The passphrase is now “Lets be Healthy 1999” and will need to be used through the end of 2025. Members will no longer need to use the passphrase starting January 2026.
