Dear NPAS Staff,
As we step into October, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for the positive energy and enthusiastic dedication you continue to bring to our students, families, and to one another. This time of year always reminds me of the proud tradition that defines the New Prague Area Schools — a tradition rooted in academic excellence, community connection, and a shared commitment to continuous growth.
We are also in the midst of shaping a promising future through our ongoing Proud Tradition AND Promising Future Operating Referendum campaign. This referendum represents more than just funding — it’s an investment in our students, our staff, and the long-term strength of our schools and greater communities. I encourage each of you to continue to stay informed about the details of the referendum, engage in conversations with colleagues and community members, and — most importantly — make a plan to vote early if you're able. As a reminder, it is our collective goal to increase our staff voter participation to 90% for those who are eligible to vote in the upcoming election.
Secondly, I would like to take a moment to highlight the work of the Site Based Leadership Teams in each of our buildings and thank those staff members who are willing to participate. These teams are the heart of our improvement efforts and play a vital role in driving meaningful, lasting progress throughout our system. Our “why” behind our significant ongoing efforts is clear:
- We place high value on site-based leadership
- We recognize the need for alignment across the system to ensure both efficiency and effectiveness
- We are committed to fostering a collaborative culture where stakeholder voices are heard
- And above all, we believe that teacher leadership is a priority
The work of the teams ensures that staff voice is embedded in decision-making and that each building remains focused on strategies that enhance student outcomes, strengthen school culture, and align with district goals. I’m incredibly proud of the leadership and collaboration emerging through these teams. They exemplify that continuous improvement isn’t a one-time initiative — it’s a mindset and a way of working that empowers us all.
As we look ahead, let’s continue to support one another, lift each other up, and stay grounded in the “why” behind our work. Our 2025–2026 theme, Better Together – speaks to the strength we find in unity. It’s through collaboration — among staff, students, families, and the broader community — that we achieve our best.
Thank you for all you do to make the NPAS a special place for all, and Go Trojans!
Sincerely,
Andrew Vollmuth
