Indian Education
NPAS's American Indian Program provides support to our American Indian students by providing access to community resources and ensuring secondary students are allocated time in their school day to participate in Native group.
NPAS has an active American Indian Parent Advisory Committee, per Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.78. This committee serves in an advisory capacity to comply with the requirements necessary to receive American Indian Education Aid funding. These funds will be used to promote American Indian education programs within our school district.
Any student is eligible for this program with American Indian ancestry who is either an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe; has a parent that is an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe or has a grandparent that is an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe. Services in the program are free of charge to all American Indian students. Please ensure your child's demographic information in Infinite Campus is updated to reflect their ethnicity, federal designation and race.
