My husband Aaron Den Hartog, Technology teacher at NPMS, and myself moved to New Prague in 2005. We enjoy life with our two children Carter (18) and Grace (16). As a family, we remain active through academics, sports and traveling. We feel blessed to live in a community which fosters and encourages academics, athletics, and the arts.
I received my B.A. in Secondary English Education from the College of Saint Benedict. I went on to receive my M.A. in Teaching and Learning from Saint Mary's University. Recently, I graduated with my Ed. Specialist degree in Educational Administration from Saint Mary's University and obtained my Minnesota K-12 Principals License as well.
I currently serve as the MnMTSS Coordinator for New Prague Area Schools. This new role is grant funded and fosters continuous district improvement with a primary focus on: Infrastructure of Systems, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, Assessment Practices, Data-Driven Decision Making, and Family/Community Outreach.
Previously, I spent twenty-four years in the classroom teaching seventh through twelfth graders in Language Arts and Social Studies. I truly love the energy, joy, and creativity students bring to the classroom!
